Juncus ensifolius

Native evergreen perennial. Grows in clumps of bright green, wide, flat foliage with with spiked seed heads that appear in late summer/fall and are a food source for many birds!

Full sun, tolerant of part-shade. Moist soil. This rush loves wet areas that also drain, and would do great in a rain garden or bio-swale. Drought tolerant and great for erosion control or bank stabilization along a stream.
