Symphyotrichum subspicatum

Perennial. Native to our Willamette Valley meadows. A bee and butterfly favorite for late-season nectar. It’s also a host plant for skipper butterflies! Lavender flowers in late summer/fall. Grow in full sun to light shade, in average, dry or moist soil. Spreads by rhizome, allow ample space for it to thrive and provide for many species. Grows 24-48" tall and wide.

Direct sow in late winter/early spring. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date.

Once Sown, keep soil evenly moist until seedlings emerge.

Planting Depth: 1/8" deep

Days to Germination: 7 to 21 days
