Pole Bean 'Kew Blue' Seed
Phaseolus vulgaris
FABAECAE, the Pea family
Tender purple pole beans from early to very late in the season. This variety thrive even when planted in cool, damp soil. I planted in April last year and harvested from June through October! The long, slender beans are blueish-purple but turn green when cooked. Very productive. Vines grow 5-10 feet.
Direct sow in April or May.
Optional: plant seeds with a legume inoculant to increase beneficial bacteria.
Planting Depth: 1" deep
Days to Germination: 7 to 14 days
Days to Harvest: 60 to 70 days
Size: One seed packet
