Also known as Symphyotrichum bracteolatum. Native. Abundant white to light lavender flowers in summer and fall above narrow green leaves. The blooms are loved by small native bees and butterflies. Good in rain gardens or in average garden soil. Spreads by rhizomes to form patches.
Excellent in wild bouquets in late summer and fall.
