Helianthus nuttallii

Native. Golden sunflowers on tall stalks. Great for a sunny meadow or bright woodland edge. Attracts native bees in summer and finches once it goes to seed. Leave the stalks and seed heads up to provide food for birds and shelter for overwintering beneficial insects.

Excellent cut flower. This is a good dye plant for eco-printing too.

Also known as Cordilleran sunflower.

Grows 2- 8’ tall and spreads by rhizomes. Sun to light shade.
