Lupinus rivularis

Native Perennial. Produces tall showy purple to blue flowers that attract native pollinators, bees and other beneficial insects. Vigorous grower that fixes nitrogen in the soil making it a great companion plant.

Direct sow in early fall or spring. Or start in pots in late winter. Transplant very gently.

Soaking or light scarifcation or cold/moist stratification help with best germination but they are pretty easy from seed. Optional: plant seeds with a legume inoculant to increase beneficial bacteria.
